The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Rhode Island for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 27, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on March 26, 2020, April 7, 2020, and May 4, 2020 detai1ed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Rhode Island and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Alaska for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 2, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Missouri for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 25, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Georgia for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on April 1, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on April 19, 2020 detailed an additional federal requirement that also poses issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Georgia and requested a waiver or modification of the additional requirement.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the state of Indiana for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 25, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Connecticut for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 27, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Louisiana for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 23, 2020.  Your follow-up communications to CMS on March 28 and April 20, 2020 detai1ed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Louisiana and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Minnesota for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 27, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the District of Columbia for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 3, 2020.  Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Nebraska for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on April 2, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on May 4, 2020, detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Nebraska and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 26, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on April 23, 2020 detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Massachusetts and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Alabama for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 23, 2020.  Your follow-up communication to CMS on March 26, 2020, detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in Alabama and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of Oregon for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 25, 2020.  Attached, please find a response to your requests for waivers or modifications, pursuant to section 1135 of the Social Security Act (Act), to address the challenges posed by COVID-19.  This approval addresses those requests related to Medicaid.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of California for multiple section 1135 flexibilities on March 23, 2020.  Your initial request to CMS on March 16, 2020 and your follow-up communication to CMS on April 10, 2020 included requests for flexibilities we can now approve.

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of New York for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 26, 2020. Your initial 1135 request included a request for additional flexibilities we can now approve.  Attached, please find a response to your requests for waivers or modifications, pursuant to section 1135 of the Social Security Act (Act), to address the challenges posed by COVID-19.  This approval addresses those requests related to Medicaid.
