Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL) User ID Instructions for New Users
As presented in recent Medicaid and CHIP SPA process webinars, CMS is releasing simplified Adobe portable document formats (PDFs) that States will use to create and submit SPAs for Medicaid Alternative Benefit Plans (ABPs); Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) based Medicaid Eligibility; CHIP Eligibility; and some necessary portions of Medicaid and CHIP Administration sections of the State Plan. States will access and submit these forms using a web-based PDF repository. The PDFs will be implemented in phases starting with the release of the Medicaid Eligibility forms and then the CHIP forms over the next few weeks.
The instructions in this notice are for New Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL) users who need to obtain a User ID.
How do I access and use the PDFs?
The PDF repository shares the same platform as the Medicaid Model Data Lab (MMDL) and the Waiver Management System (WMS).
- Users who previously applied for log-in credentials to the Medicaid and CHIP Program system through the Individuals Authorized Access to CMS Services (IACS) will be sent a user ID and password to access the PDF repository once forms are available in a few weeks.
- Users who did not previously apply for log-in credentials through IACS should submit a request via the WMS and MMDL Request Form in order to obtain a user ID and password to access the PDF repository once forms are available in a few weeks. The request must include the user’s:
- Name
- State
- Role (within the PDF repository)
- Email address
- Telephone number
A message will be sent out to all users in a few weeks, once forms are available in the PDF repository. A link to the PDF repository will also be included in that message. Any user that is unable to access the PDF repository once forms are available should submit a similar request to the aforementioned email address.
Send a message via the WMS and MMDL Request Form if you have questions about a form or if you experience any technical/access issues in the PDF repository.
