UPCOMING CMS EMAIL SERVICES TRANSITION - CMS Email Services Transition over Labor Day Weekend

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be undergoing an email transition over the Labor Day weekend (late Friday, September 2, to early Tuesday, September 6).  CMS users will not be able to access or receive email during the transition.  If you send an email to CMS during this time, you will receive an error message that the CMS users account does not exist and your email will not be received. We are asking stakeholders to hold emails during this time period. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Medicaid Information Technology Architecture

The Medicaid Information Technology Architecture (MITA) initiative sponsored by the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and governed by the MITA Governance Board is intended to foster integrated business and information technology (IT) transformation across the Medicaid enterprise to improve the administration of the Medicaid program.

The MITA Initiative is a national framework to support improved systems development and health care management for the Medicaid enterprise. MITA has a number of goals, including development of seamless and integrated systems that communicate effectively through interoperability and common standards and processes.
