CHIP State Amendment Plans
The approval of SPA ND-13-0103 includes full approval of the state's alternative single streamlined paper application only. The state is using an interim alternative paper application for multiple human services programs. By March l, 2018, the state will implement a revised alternative paper application used to apply for multiple human services programs that addresses CMS concerns outlined in the companion letter issued with this SPA approval.
This SPA permits Ohio to implement a health services initiative (HSI) to provide lead abatement services in the homes of low-income children and pregnant women and to establish an online lead-safe housing registry.
This SPA describes NY\u2019s policy to provide retroactive coverage for newborns if the application is received within 60 days after birth, and implements two CHIP Health Services Initiatives (HSI) by providing funding to: 1) support the training of school officials and staff to administer naloxone rescue kits to reverse opioid overdoses, and2) support the provision of emergency meals and nutrition education to low-income children and their families.
