American Society of Addiction Medicine Criteria Resource Guide
The American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) Criteria is viewed as a national standard for describing levels of care in the substance use disorders (SUD) treatment continuum. The resource guide provides an overview of the national treatment guidelines, including provider and service standards for each level of care. In addition, the resource guide includes templates that states can use to compare their service coverage and program standards with the national benchmarks.
Medication-Assisted Treatment Clinical Pathway & Rate Design Tool
The Medicaid Innovation Accelerator Program (IAP) developed strategic resources for states seeking information on service delivery models and corresponding rate design tools for the provision of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) to individuals with opioid dependence. These clinical models are based on examples of MAT service delivery models currently in use in state Medicaid programs. The corresponding rate design tools can be used by states to better understand how to develop a rate approach reflecting the clinical pathway of the model. Access additional tools and resources:
