Nursing facility rate update

This plan amendment updates the methods and standards used to determine rates of payment to community health centers.

This amendment is to confirm in its state plan the eligibility requirements for the Medicare Savings Program eligibility groups.

This amendment renews Indiana’s 1915(i) State Plan HCBS benefit.

Removes the federal requirement that practitioners obtain a DATA-Waiver or X-Waiver to prescribe medications, like buprenorphine, to treat patients with opioid use disorder, in accordance with Section 1262 of the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023. Providers who have a current license to practice and a Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration authorizing the prescribing of Schedule III drugs may prescribe buprenorphine for the treatment of opioid use disorder or pain management.

This amendment is that the state will cover all preventive services assigned a grade of A or B by the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF), and all approved vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), and their administration.

This SPA proposes to update the language on the state’s Prescribed Drugs Limitations list on the Pharmacy state plan coverage pages.

This SPA proposes to update the language on the state’s excluded drug list on the Pharmacy state plan coverage pages.

This amendment is to adopt the changes to the eligibility rules for the Former Foster Care Children eligibility group, as enacted by the Substance-Use Disorder Prevention that Promotes Opioid Recovery and Treatment for Patients and Communities (SUPPORT) Act, Pub. L. No. 115-217, section 1002.

This plan amendment updates the professional dispensing fee when medications are delivered to an individual’s residence.
