Medicaid State Plan Amendments

This amendment allows for coverage of select over-the-counter drugs manufactured by a firm that does not have a signed rebate agreement with the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Additionally, it allows South Dakota Medicaid to enter into value-based agreements with manufacturers on a voluntary basis.

This plan amendment provides supplemental payments to eligible providers under physician services.

The SPA implements a 90-day grace period for behavior technicians to be covered under the other licensed practitioner Medicaid benefit while working to acquire the Registered Behavior Technician credential.

This amendment adds new language to the Rehabilitative Services pages (13d) of the State Plan.

This plan amendment updates buy-back provisions for Intermediate Care Facilities for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities (ICF/IDD), as outlined within the State Plan. In addition, the amendment incorporates funding as outlined in the annual General Appropriation Act for a new level of reimbursement for clients who have severe behavioral needs, incorporates funding to providers to raise wages of direct care employees to at least $15.00 per hour, and makes technical and editorial changes.
