Medicaid State Plan Amendments

This amendment proposes Clinical Quality Incentive (CQI) payments for privately-owned psychiatric hospitals and substance abuse treatment hospitals.

This amendment adds enhanced mobile crisis services to the Medicaid state plan.

The primary purpose for this amendment is to make enhanced payments to physicians associated with certain publicly owned or operated hospitals.

This amendment allows Licensed Psychologists, Licensed Behavior Analysts, and Licensed Assistant Behavioral Analysts that work in states that border Missouri to provide Applied Behavioral Analysis services to Missouri Medicaid participants.

The updates in the state plan benefit accounts for rate increases in the following services: assisted living and in-home respite services.

This SPA proposes a reimbursement methodology for physician administered drugs and updates references to the ASP (Average Sales Price) rate.

The Department is amending the State Plan to include language to clarify the specific Medicare rate used to set the Maryland rate for Medicare-covered Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and Durable Medical Supplies (DMS).

The purpose of this SPA is to amend the provisions governing inpatient hospital services in order to remove language in the Medicaid State Plan that is obsolete.
