Medicaid State Plan Amendments

This amendment makes changes to abortion, family planning, and doula services and rates.

To expand the scope of covered transplant procedures to include small bowel and pancreas transplant procedures.

This amendment adds Diabetes Self-Management Training (DSMT) benefits to the Kansas Medicaid State Plan as a preventive outpatient service for persons diagnosed with diabetes.

This amendment will end the Primary Care Case Management program.

This SPA authorizes increased federal financial participation (FFP) for newly-eligible individuals receiving postpartum coverage and further includes the addition of Attachment D, which describes the special circumstances and other proxy adjustments that are applied to account for the proportion of individuals covered under the extended postpartum coverage option who would otherwise be eligible for coverage in the adult group and for the newly eligible FFP under section 1905(y) of the Social Security Act;

This SPA updated the rates for outpatient Sole Community Hospitals.

The ICF-IID Levels of Care structure and administration per diem rates are being revised.

Update Psychiatric Medical Institution for Children (PMIC) rates in accordance with Iowa Senate File (SF) 561.

Update nursing facility rates using a new cost report period and inflation factor in accordance with Iowa Senate File (SF) 561.
