Medicaid State Plan Amendments

Amendment to the State Plan to implement a new price-based methodology for private nursing facilities and cost-based methodology for state-owned nursing facilities.

This plan amendment updates the methods and standards used to determine the rates of Personal Care Assistants.

This Plan revises the new name of the single state agency to reflect Iowa Department of Health and Human Services.

With this Amendment the state will disregard the resource value of certain vehicles under the authority of section 1902(r)(2) of the Act.

This amendment is to update the state plan to reflect the current Preadmission Screening and Annual Resident Review process.

This SPA authorizes increased federal financial participation (FFP) for newly-eligible individuals receiving postpartum coverage and further includes the addition of Attachment D, which describes the special circumstances and other proxy adjustments that are applied to account for the proportion of individuals covered under the extended postpartum coverage option who would otherwise be eligible for coverage in the adult group and for the newly eligible FFP under section 1905(y) of the Social Security Act;

This SPA provides Nebraska with approval to provide 12 months of continuous postpartum coverage to individuals enrolled in its Medicaid program.

This plan amendment updates the methods and standards used to determine the rates of payment for Acute Outpatient Hospital services.

This plan provides a one-time provider payment to Freestanding Dialysis Centers.

This amendment implements coverage and reimbursement of adult ( age 19 and over) immunizations and administration without cost sharing, when required according to the recommendations of the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).
