Medicaid State Plan Amendments

This amendment is to add rural emergency hospital clinics as a Medicaid provider.

This plan amendment updates the Arizona disproportionate share hospital (DSH) pool 5 payment amounts and participant list, for the DSH state plan rate year ending 2023.

This plan amendment adds an add-on payment for Renal Dialysis.

This SPA provides assurance in Attachment D that the benefit package provided for all individuals through the postpartum extension complies with section 1937 of the Act, including the provision of essential health benefits (EHBs) and that no treatment limitations that are more restrictive than the Alternative Benefit Plan (ABP).

Update on the general limitations, lab, and family planning services.

Allow qualified licensed pharmacists to provide Medicaid services within their scope of practice. This change will expand the number of providers who are able to supply benefits to Medicaid beneficiaries and permit these providers to bill for these services.

This plan amendment updated the effective date of the fee schedules for Home and Community Based Services (HCBS).

This amendment changes to state plan coverage of other licensed practitioner services to include licensed mental health therapists, licensed social service workers, licensed substance use disorder counselors, and licensed behavioral health coaches.

This amendment is relating to an executive reorganization which will rename the Human Services Department (HSD) as the Health Care Authority (HCA). As a new executive department, HCA will administer laws and exercise functions relating to health care purchasing, policy, and regulation for the State of New Mexico.

This amendment authorization is for Health First Colorado to obtain reimbursement for Partial Hospitalization services as defined by the American Society of Addiction Medicine’s 2.5 standards.
