CHIP State Amendment Plans

This letter reactivates Arizona's approved Evergreen Disaster Relief State Plan Amendment to include the following flexibilities: waiving the collection of premiums and suspending the premium lock-out policy.

This SPA provides New York with approval to provide 12 months of continuous postpartum coverage to individuals enrolled in its CHIP program.

This amendment implements a health services initiative (HSI) to provide comprehensive coverage during the 12-month postpartum period for individuals whose pregnancy was covered under the conception-to-end-of-pregnancy group (also known as the “unborn” option)

This SPA provides South Dakota with approval to provide 12 months of continuous postpartum coverage to individuals enrolled in its CHIP program.

This SPA demonstrates compliance with requirements in the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARP) that 1) mandate coverage of COVID-19 testing, treatment, and vaccines and their administration without cost-sharing or amount, duration, or scope limitations; and 2) require states to cover, without cost sharing, the treatment of conditions that may seriously complicate COVID- 19 treatment, during the period when a beneficiary is diagnosed with or is presumed to have COVID-19.

This letter reactivates Missouri's Evergreen Disaster Relief CHIP State Plan Amendment and is scheduled to end on April 30, 2024.

This letter reactivates Nebraska's Evergreen Disaster Relief CHIP State Plan Amendment and is scheduled to end on May 12, 2024.
