Carrie Smith is currently Deputy Director for the Disabled and Elderly Health Programs Group (DEHPG). She has been with the Centers for Medicaid & Medicaid Services (CMS) since 1999. Prior to this role, she was the Director of the Division of Health Homes, Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly and Coordination of Benefits Third Party Liability in DEHPG. Her previous roles at CMS include Acting Division Director of the Division of Community Systems Transformation, Deputy Director of the Division of Managed Care Plans, Technical Director in the Division of Benefits and Coverage, as well as analytical work on State Plan Amendments, self-direction programs and 1115 Demonstrations. Prior to coming to CMS, Carrie worked in the banking industry for 10 years as a commercial lender
