
This measure reports the amount of time that it took state agencies to make Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) MAGI eligibility determinations. The data report the number of calendar days that elapsed between when the state agency received an application and when it made a final eligibility determination using the Modified Adjusted Gross Income (MAGI) standard. States report the number of completed determinations that occur within:
- Less than 24 hours
- 1-7 days
- 8-30 days
- 31-45 days
- Longer than 45 days
Data reflect processing times during February, March, and April 2021. Processing times by state are available in the Medicaid MAGI and CHIP Application Processing Time Report – February – April 2021 (report will be posted at this link in the future).
