Effective March 1, 2021, this amendment updates the ambulatory surgical center services fee schedule.

Effective January 1, 2021, this amendment brings the Maine State Plan in compliance with the Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) requirements in Section 12006 of the 21st Century CURES Act. 

Effective April 1, 2021, this amendment approves the continuation of the exception to the recovery audit contractor (RAC) requirements through April 30, 2023.

Effective June 1, 2021 until expiration on May 31, 2023, this amendment waives the recovery audit contractor requirement.

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment (SPA) to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment is to allow the state to reimburse eligible providers for the administration of FDA-authorized single-dose or two-dose COVID-19 vaccines. In addition, effective April 1, 2021, the State of Iowa will reimburse eligible providers for administration of each dose of an FDA-authorized COVID-19 vaccine at $40.

Effective January 1, 2017, this amendment revises reimbursement for inpatient hospital services. Specifically, it provides additional payments to specialty, critical access and physical medical rehabilitation hospitals to account for increases in the minimum wage (MW). 

Effective August 19, 2020 this amendment adds coverage and reimbursement for three evidence-based parenting programs for children with disruptive behavior disorders.
