Additionally, this amendment proposes to contain rate increases for mental health assessments and establishes payment methodologies for acute partial
hospitalization in the outpatient setting.

Updates the definition of undue hardship for estate recovery; updates the state's determination of cost effectiveness for estate recovery; clarify the process for exempting certain assets from estate recovery for American Indians and Alaska Natives; and updates the limitations to estate recovery for any premiums paid on behalf of the member.

updates to the Skilled Nursing Facility Quality and Accountability Supplement Payment (QASP) for the rate periods from August 1, 2020 to December 31, 2021

Revises the quarterly nursing home supplemental payment, also known as MQIP, for dates of service in the quarter ending June 30, 2021

Increases inpatient, per diem rate for safety-net hospitals to $630 for inpatient psychiatric services

The purpose of this SPA is to amend the reimbursement rates for professional services

Revises the add-on fee-for-service reimbursement for non-state government operated ground emergency medical transportation (ambulance) providers

Authorizes a new class of supplemental payments to facilities that treat a high volume of opioid use disorder patients in emergency rooms
