CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment (SPA) to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment is to increase the COVID-19 vaccine administration rate, effective 8/9/2021.

This plan amendment allows an increase to certain Medicaid provider rates by 2.5% for specific services in accordance with the 2021 Long Bill (SB21-205) for the State of Colorado

This SPA plans to implement changes to the inpatient psychiatric per diem rate for hospitals licensed under chapter as free-standing psychiatric hospitals providing long-term civil commitment services

Proposes to move currently approved in-home peritoneal dialyses services from the clinic benefit to the home health and other licensed provider benefit without a change in reimbursement

This plan amendment updates the agency's fee schedule effective date in order to facilitate a reimbursement rate increase for select Applied Behavior Analysis Services

Amends payments for services: Ambulatory Health Care Clinics

Repeal of 3.5% rate reduction to reimbursement for hospital services effective with inpatient admissions and outpatient services on or after July 1, 2021.

This SPA proposes to allow the Division of Medicaid (DOM) to 1) revise coverage and payment methodology for extended services for pregnant and post-partum women who are at risk of morbidity or mortality, 2) set the fees for extended services for pregnant women the same as those in effect on July 1, 2021, and 3) remove the five percent (5%) reimbursement reduction effective July 1, 2021.
