This SPA will add the state’s attestation that it meets all the minimum requirements
under Section 1902(a)(87) of the Social Security Act – also known as Section 209 of the
Medicaid Coverage of Certain Medical Transportation Under the Consolidated
Appropriations Act of 2021 (P.L. 116-260). Separately, the SPA also removes the
requirement for prior authorization for nonmedical transportation.

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment (SPA) to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment to enable the State to receive federal Medicaid matching funds for fee-for-service COVID-19-related supplemental payments to hospitals in the following categories: Prospective payment hospitals other than psychiatric or rehabilitation hospitals; psychiatric hospitals; rehabilitation hospitals, and border hospitals.

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment (SPA) to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment to allow flexibility to use FY2019 time study results when calculating FY2020 final cost reimbursement rates for the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and the Department of Mental Health (DMH) rehabilitation.

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment (SPA) to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment to enable federally qualified health centers (FQHC) and rural health clinics (RHC) to be reimbursed outside of the established, all-inclusive prospective payment system (PPS) rate for administration of the COVID-19 vaccine.
