Amends the provisions governing inpatient hospital services and ambulatory surgical centers in order to provide for reimbursement of laboratory testing for Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) separately from inpatient hospital per diem payments and ambulatory surgical center flat fee reimbursement amounts.

CA-21-0019

This SPA, effective January 1, 2022, authorizes supplemental payments for select preventive dental services and dental exam services, and adds Caries Risk Assessment (CRA) and Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF) services to the dental fee schedule.

This amendment proposes to (1) clarify the different types of encounters when reimbursement is made for more than one encounter performed on the same days; (2) adds requirements for Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC) mobile units; and (3) adds language to refer to Attachment 3.1-A Introductory Pages for coverage of telehealth services to be in compliance with the Mississippi Code Annotated as amended by Senate Bill 2799, effective July 1, 2021.
