CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment is to waive any signature requirements for the dispensing of drugs effective 3/1/2020.
Effective for services on or after July 1, 2022, this amendment implements supplemental payments to nursing facilities based on discharges and staff wages.
Effective for services on or after January 1, 2023, this amendment will modifying Wisconsin's reimbursement methodology as it relates to the number of months a cost report and supporting documentation are required after a facility’s cost reporting period.
This SPA proposes to add prior authorization information on preferred and non-preferred drugs, as well as for High-Investment Carve-Out drugs when delivered in the inpatient setting.
