This amendment will add language back to the Medicaid State Plan to clarify the state covers and reimburses all United States Preventive Services Task Force (USPSTF) grade A and B preventive services and approved vaccines recommended by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP).

Establish a temporary rate add-on for nursing facilities for miscellaneous costs through August 31, 2023 to maintain the temporary rate increase for nursing facilities that was originally implemented for the federally declared COVID-19 public health emergency (PHE).

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment to allow the state to implement temporary policies while returning to normal operations after the COVID-19 national emergency.  The purpose of this amendment is to extend the disaster relief provisions governing preventive services in order to reimburse ambulance service providers who provide allowable services on site, without transport, while under the supervision of a licensed physician.

CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment to allow the state to implement temporary policies while returning to normal operations after the COVID-19 national emergency.  The purpose of this amendment is to temporarily extend the suspension of behavioral health prior/service authorizations for one year after the end of the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE). This extension was authorized under the authority of an 1135 blanket waiver on 4.2.20. The TE extension is necessary to aid Alaska's return to routine operations.

This amendment expands PE to include the Parents and other Caretaker Relatives, Former Foster Care and Breast
and Cervical Cancer groups, in addition to Children and Pregnant Women, and to allow the state-designated Qualified Entities to complete PE determinations for all groups covered in PE.

To continue the OK SPA 21-0045 disaster-relief provisions of independently licensed behavioral health practitioner services
provided to adults and to allow for audio-only service delivery for individual and family psychotherapy services.

This State Plan Amendment implements a 16% inflationary increase for Community Mental Health Centers and Substance Use Disorder Agencies appropriated by the state legislature.

This amendment is to add coverage and reimbursement for services provided by licensed podiatrists under the other licensed practitioner benefit.

This SPA proposes to remove the reference to Average Sales Price (ASP) + 6% on the Pharmacy reimbursement State Plan page.

Establishes a 3.0% rate increase for outpatient hospital services per state budget bill.
