This plan amendment replaces the requirement that Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) reimburse Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs) their full per-visit rate with a requirement that in the event that an MCO or dental maintenance organization pays less than the FQHC's full per-visit rate, the State will ensure the remainder is paid on at least a quarterly basis.

This plan amendment revises the State Plan for NEMT services to address changes in two regions of the state.

This amendment updates outdated language pertaining to home health visit services, specifically, the number of home health visits available to recipients.

This amendment proposes to suspend the provisions governing the reimbursement methodology for nursing facilities in order to impose provisions to ensure that the current rates in effect do not increase for the state fiscal year 2018 rating period.

Will provide a methodology to establish a rate adjustment for hospitals that are designated as a new teaching hospital for direct and indirect medical education costs.

This amendment modifies the State's methods and standards for setting non-public nursing facility (NF) payment rates.

This amendment will continue the District's ability to provide supplemental payments to eligible District hospitals that participate in the Medicaid program. Supplemental payments for outpatient hospital services will occur during the period October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2018.

This SPA proposes to bring Rhode Island into compliance with the reimbursement requirements in the Covered Outpatient Drug final rule with comment period (CMS-2345-FC).
