This amendment proposes higher Medicaid payments to pay for care and services provided in restorative care units in nursing facilities.

This amendment provides for updates to the intermediate care facility reimbursement methodology.

Specifically, the SPA added the InterRai Community Mental Health Core Standardized Assessment tool as the department assessment tool; clarified the process responsibility for performing evaluations and reevaluations; amended the amount, duration, and scope of Prevocational and Supported Employment services; and updated the fee schedules for Prevocational and Supported Employment Services.

This SPA amends reimbursement for items of durable medical equipment ( DME), including increasing fees for certain items; restructuring soft limits for items which require prior authorization (PA); discontinuing certain codes for lac k of utilization; setting a cap on repairs for certain orthotics and prosthetics which can be waived with prior authorization; and reduction in payment for certain items to reflect level of reimbursement of neighboring states.

Allows the state to selectively contract, through the Office of Early Childhood, to provide Early Intervention Services, pursuant to EPSDT to families with infants and toddlers with developmental delays and disabilities.
