This SPA increases reimbursement rates for chemical dependency detoxification and residential services.

This amendment revises pay for performance supplemental payments for inpatient hospital services. Specifically, this amendment reduces the number of performance measures used to determine the supplemental payments.

This amendment proposes to remove the drug categories of barbiturates, benzodiazepines and smoking cessation drugs from the list of drugs that may be excluded or otherwise restricted from coverage from the state plan effective January 1, 2014 in accordance with the provisions of section 2502 of the Affordable Care Act which amends section 1927(d)(2) of the Social Security Act by removing barbiturates, benzodiazepines and agents used to promote smoking cessation from the list of drugs a state Medicaid program may exclude from coverage or otherwise restrict.

Eliminates the Arkansas Breast Cervical Cancer program.

This SPA adds limited orthotics coverage to halos, walking boots, and knee orthotics as part of the prosthetics benefit described in Attachment 3.1-A Limitations.

This amendment augments language to the State Plan which is consistent with Section 2301 of the Affordable Care Act.

This SPA allows the District to establish programs to contract with one or more Medicaid RACs, in accordance with Section 6411 of the Affordable Care Act.
