MD-11-14A

This SPA updates the Stale plan to be consistent with CMS required format of separating inpatient Institutional reimbursement sections from outpatient I professional services. This update requires additional updating of all related service sections and are updated to reflect current practices and methods of reimbursement.

MD-11-15

This SPA modifies Attachments 4.19-A and 4.19-B of Marylands Title XIX State Plan. Specifically, SPA 11-015 implements regulations for provider preventable conditions and related payment adjustments for Medicaid.

MD-11-16

This is a Pharmacy SPA: it reduces dispensing fees by five percent. In addition, this amendment adds language regarding coverage of smoking cessation products for pregnant women to the pharmacy section of the State Plan. The pharmacy section has also been reformated for improved organization and clarity.

MD-11-17

This SPA adds language to the State Plan specific to the provision of Freestanding Birth Centers, pursuant to Section 2301 of the Affordable Care Act.

MD-11-18

This amendment modifies the methods and standards for making Medical Assistance payments to nursing facilities (NFs). Specifically, this SPA increases NF reimbursements by reducing the net reduction factor applied to select cost centers used in developing rates and modifies qualification criteria for supplemental payment based on quality indicators to formulate the payments.

MD-11-20

This SPA, in accordance with Section 113 of the Childrens Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA), eliminates the previous requirements for deemed newborn Medicaid eligibility that the newborn must come home from the hospital to live with the mother, remain a member of the mothers household, and that the mother remain eligible for Medicaid, or would remain eligible if still pregnant.

MD-11-21

This SPA adds language that was inadvertently dropped on Maryland SPA 11-04, which expanded coverage to otherwise pregnant women and children who are aliens, under the Childrens Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act (CHIPRA) Section 214 option.

MD-13-11

This SPA is to update pages for Nurse Practitioner Services in response to CMS Companion Letter to Marylands SPA 13-02; amending language associated with medical necessity criteria.
