The SSDC Iowa Medicaid Supplemental Drug Rebate Agreement utilized by the State to enter into a rebate agreement with a drug manufacturer has been revised to correct a formatting error on page 14 and must be authorized by CMS.

IA-10-007

Remove IACare expansion language and establish disproportionate share hospital (DSH) payments. The non-federal share of the $7,500,000 increase in DSH payment to the UI is provided by the UI through an IGT, therefore we have shown $0 as the state dollar impact. DSH to Broadlawns has been moved from an IACare expenditure to a regular Medicaid expenditure freeing up budget neutrality space for IowaCare.

This SPA is being submitted because of changes to the LTC Partnership Program as directed by the DRA of 2005 and clarification from CMS. Determined that the placement for the asset exemption from estate recovery is on page 53b and removed from Sup. 8b to Attachment 2.6-A.

Removes the annual limit on the number of persons served and removing all references to payment slots and waiting lists for the 1915(i) State Plan HCBS program, on or after October 1, 2010 as required by the Affordable Care Act.
