This time-limited state plan amendment responds to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment is to suspend all copayments and premiums for all beneficiaries, modify telehealth benefits and allow payment accordingly, adjust the day supply or quantity limit for covered outpatient drugs, expand Prior authorization for medications automatic renewal without clinical review, or time/quantity extensions, and make exceptions to their published Preferred Drug List if drug shortages occur.

Section 1135 Waiver Flexibilities - New Hampshire Coronavirus Disease 2019 (Second Request)

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) granted an initial approval to the State of New Hampshire for multiple Section 1135 flexibilities on March 23, 2020. Your follow-up communications to CMS sent on March 26, 2020 detailed a number of additional federal requirements that also pose issues or challenges for the health care delivery system in New Hampshire and requested a waiver or modification of those additional requirements.
