CMS is approving this time-limited state plan amendment to respond to the COVID-19 national emergency. The purpose of this amendment is to clarify the bed hold policy language approved in an earlier state plan amendment.

Updates the LTCSS assessment requirements for beneficiaries receiving PCA services to align with changes made to the District’s assessment process and corresponding regulations

Proposes to allow the state to revise language in the plan for providers to submit cost reports and any supporting data from hard copy to electronic upload

Allows Puerto Rico to cover MAVYRET, a Hepatitis C drug, through their fee-forservice
(FFS) program

extends the provisions for rate enhancement for low volume, small rural hospitals

Reduces provider tax, reduces limits in Medicare fee
schedule, and increases the payment rates for Doula services

Updates the Enhanced Ambulatory Patient Group (EAPG) reimbursement rates
for hospital outpatient services.

Allows advanced practice registered nurses and physician assistants to order home health services and conduct face to face visits in accordance with 42CFR440.70(f).

Proposes to reduce the capital component of nursing home rates
